Us

by Trevor "TeC" Christian

I love her and she loves me
We've shared many many years of unity

We've had our ups and downs, our ins and our outs
Won't hesitate to admit, we both had our doubts.

We've had our days when we didn't get along,
Moments of embarrasment, when one of us did something wrong
Stubborn moments and times of break down
But we've repeatedly overcome them and discarded our frowns

Been with me through good times, hard times too
Helped me to solve my problems but never told me what to do.
Stayed up late with me when projects were due
Working with me into the wee hours of the morning;
seeing the settling of the morning dew
Calmed and cooled me with soothing and rythmic tones,
Changing my mood and quieting my occasional discontented groans

Hummed for me sweet lullabies
Made me drift of to sleep on a euphoric high
Knowing that when I awoke she'd be there to greet me
When I opened my eyes she'd be the first that I'd see

We've shared more secrets than one would ever know
Yet I know they'd be safe, even if I were the first to go
Sadly time and age may be against her, her age may be slowing her down
And I know there are younger faster replacements available - even in town
But...

The two of us will remain true to the very end...
If my PC dies...
I'll lose a dear friend.
