It should have been stopped

I'm left with stuff to be mopped

I used to be good at hiding stuff:
Keeping stuff in.
Now, a friend or two later,
And it's harder to keep things within

Talking is better, or so I am told
But sharing my true feelings is getting really old
I no longer believe that I should keep it all inside
But the benefits of sharing are no different to when I hide

Alone if I do; Alone if I don't.
