trevor@bouyon.dalive.com ~:# whoami

Hey all... I am Trevor E. Christian - also (in some circles better) known as TeC. (Note the spelling). I currently reside in Wall House near the south western coast of the Nature Island of the Caribbean - Dominica.

I look something like this... Trevor Christian

Scary...I know!

I was born on the 16th of September 1985 to parents Mommy and Daddy Christian. Yup that makes me about 19 20 21 22 years of age. I have one younger sister and one older brother. I'm short - about 5 foot 11 to 6 feet 10 inches (I'm shrinking! AHHHHHH!) and weigh more than you need to know - that's between me and my old pal the scale.

I've spent all most of my life in Dominica except for one or two trips to neighbouring Caribbean islands in addition to my current stay as a student at the University of the Southern Caribbean in Trinidad & Tobago (mostly Trinidad... but Trinidad & Tobago). The trips were great! I learned to appreciate Dominican beauty much more and the jury is still out on the studying experience...

<insert>Words coming to mind here... "Variety is the spice of life..." - Kinda sounds like it should lead into a promo for Grenada - "The isle of Spice and everything nice"... but I'll leave you wondering as to the variety of which I speak... </insert>

History...

I'm a semi-quiet and shy kinda dude; A guy of few friends and many acquaintances - most of whom won't back up the first part of this statement. People say that I'm sarcastic and they tend to look at me like I'm retarded - don't know what that's about.... Anyhue... I think I'm friendly, though its been rumoured otherwise.

I was taught to learn from any and every one or thing that I can, and as such, I'm the kinda guy who'll give a go to anyone who purports to know more than me on any matter at hand.

I'm a Roman Catholic - a Dominican Catholic rather (haven't been to Rome...yet); I attend church very regularly at the Loubiere Holy Spirit Chapel. Dude! Its air-conditioned! But anyhue...I serve in the music ministry and help to enhance worship sessions - simply put - I play the keyboard at church. I also do musical arrangement, sequencing and recording in my spare time. O... I'm also a member of the church's youth group - (Loubiere Youth Catholic Organisation or LYCO).

You may not know, but the Mighty Sparrow (a famous Trinidadian Calypsonian) once sang "School days were happy, happy days...".
"Man must be crazy!" - or so i thought...until... they made me wear a green dress - I mean gown - and gave me a blank rolled up sheet of paper. Yup! Graduated from the Dominica State College from the A Level Programme in 2003 - the first ever graduates of the new college. I left the Dominica Grammar School a couple o' years before that, and the Convent Preparatory School 5 years prior. Science, Math and Information Technology were my subject focus towards the end. I miss it. shhhhhhhhhhhh <whisper> Don't tell anyone. I made some good friends through it all; especially in the struggle of computer science.

I am keenly interested in computers and almost anything to do with them. I've done computer programming since I was in 3rd form, branching into web development and other languages and scripting over the years. After college, I taught programming among other subjects for about a year. Networking, Programming, web & software development along with building of computers and repairing and maintaining them all fall under my interests and skills. I describe myself as a lazy person who loves to do work; and I repeatedly give this example story. Here goes...

"Once upon a time...a long time ago....Back when i was solely a Microsoft Windows user, I came home with a CD which i had to put into my CD-ROM tray and use. This of course meant opening the tray, putting in the CD, and closing the tray back.

Manual labour!

Deciding that this was too much work, I opened Delphi (a Rapid Application Development tool based on Object Oriented Pascal) and mozilla (web browser) and began my two hour journey to the creation of my first system tray application to do the opening and closing of the tray for me..."

I eventually worked in allowance for multiple CD-ROM devices.

I guess by now you're beginning to think, like most people do, that I'm weird but this just goes to show that I'm committed to making my computer make life easier for me.

You may or may not have grasped from the story, that I'm not fond of Windows as an Operating system. Are you? Either way, I'm not going to force my beliefs onto you. All I have to say is... "Why be a slave to Microsoft and suffer so much? Let Linux into your life..." and that's all i have to say on the matter...for now.

Bug after bug; Virus after virus; blue screen after blue screen; I'm sorry... I said that that was all I had to say.

I'm a musician or I purport to be one (may have mentioned this before) I play the piano and keyboard. I can play the guitar - not a guitarist; bass guitar - not a bass guitarist; drums - my sister is the drummer; recorder - most annoying instrument in the world; Saxophone - hope i remember how - It's been a while.

ammmmmmmmm.........

What else is there about me?

I guess I may have to come back to this eventually.
